The average number of days it takes to close a deal from first contact to signed contract.
Why it matters
Longer cycles tie up resources and delay revenue. Tracking cycle length helps identify bottlenecks, forecast cash flow, and set realistic quota expectations.
Formula
Sales Cycle Length = Total Days to Close All Deals / Number of Deals
Sum the number of days from first contact to close for each deal, then divide by the total number of deals closed in the period.
